You will serve as a CONTACT REPRESENATATIVE in the Directorate for Administration, Patient Administration Department of NMRTC CAMP LEJEUNE NC.

Duties

You will provides administrative support services to service members undergoing processing through the Medical Evaluation Board (MEB) and the entire Disability Evaluation System (DES). You will gather required documentation from physicians, members, and parent command to ensure all abnormal conditions are assessed; and coordinates consultation to specialty clinics if necessary. You will explain the significance of completion of forms (intake form, physical form) to ensure all conditions are assessed accurately during the Medical Evaluation Board process. You will ensure each case is procedurally correct, complete, consistent, compliant and authentic. You will utilize the Disability Evaluation System database, VA Tracking Application, and the Medical Board Online Tri-Service Tracking System to collect information on all personnel receiving medical boards. You will track the progress of the medical board throughout the facility, automate production of all local forms necessary in the medical board process; to include demographics and board results.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-6 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performs initial screening of active duty service members at onset of Medical Evaluation Board recommendation in order to collect record and verify information; Explains the Disability Evaluation System process, the applicable rules, regulations, procedures, and requirements of the Medical Evaluation Board, which includes; but is not limited to explanations or justification of recommendations, medical evidence, and disposition of cases to patients; and Performs a variety of standard and non-standard clerical duties to coordinate travel arrangements, services, and medical appointments.
