Duties
You will serve as a Computer Assistant in the Naval Computer and Telecommunications Station (NAVCOMTELSTA), N5 Policy-Plans-Projects Department in San Diego, CA.
You will create database queries/scripts for updating and reporting and modify or develop database views.
You will maintain and perform backups for archives of all databases and files.
You will receive invoices from the contractors for various charges and ensure that the invoice charges match database entries.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- This position may require evening, overtime, weekend, and holiday work.
- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 411 within 12 months of appointment.
Qualifications
Applicants must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly relates to the work of the position to be filled. Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by:
*Experience utilizing database management, reporting, navigating, and creating queries, forms, reports, tables, and macros.
*Experience applying environment software skills used for inventory, directory, cable plant, and billing.
*Experience completing vendor invoices and billing procedures utilizing financial terms and procedures.
*Experience implementing pertinent policies, regulation, and guides.
