Duties

What will I do in this position if hired? In this supervisory position, you will oversee a team of IT Specialists who's concentration is customer support and configuration management. Typical assignments include: - Providing administrative and technical supervision necessary to accomplish the work of the team. - Resolving the most difficult customer support requests involving integration of configuration related issues. - Supporting systems involving a wide variety of different platforms, operating systems, applications, and desktop configurations. - Providing guidance and customer support to senior level management.

Qualifications

Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The time-in-grade and qualification requirements must be met within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. To qualify for this position at the GS-13 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the Federal or Private Sector and must demonstrate all of the following: Advising IT Specialist who perform Level 2 End-User Support for a diverse user community and a wide range of computing devices; and Leading or mentoring a team though training, scheduling work assignments, or performing quality control; and Developing SOP's and coordinating with organizational management on support requirements. In addition to the above specialized experience, individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.
