Duties

The United States Space Force (USSF) at Cheyenne Mountain SFS is searching for a Cyber Transport Systems Craftsman (NH-0391-02, GS 05-11 Equivalent). Description: Are you ready to embark on a career where innovation meets purpose, and where your work directly enhances the backbone of our nation's security and communications infrastructure? We are currently seeking a forward-thinking Requirements Manager to join the 21st Communications Squadron. This pivotal role is designed for a driven individual who is passionate about shaping the future of military communications. As our Requirements Manager, you will be at the forefront of analyzing, developing, and managing complex communication requirements to support both current and future operations. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to national security in a meaningful way, working alongside a team of dedicated professionals in a high-impact environment. Your role will involve close collaboration with both military and civilian stakeholders, requiring a blend of technical acumen, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills. As a government civilian in the Communications Squadron, you will be tasked with bridging the gap between operational needs and technological solutions. Whether it's by conducting in-depth requirements analyses or presenting your findings to senior leadership, your work will directly influence the operational success and effectiveness of our supported missions. Ideal Candidate: Ideal candidate will have experience with military communications, coordinating communications requirements through CIPS program, and experience communicating with internal and external mission partners to correct/align requirements with capabilities.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • This position is eligible for telework 2-4 days a pay period.
  • PCS and Incentives are not authorized.
  • Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
  • Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.
  • May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of TDY assignments.
  • May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours and/or Shift work may be required which may include overtime and/or irregular hours.
  • Position will be closed after 5 business days or after 75 applications are received.
