You will serve as a LEAD SUPPORT SERVICES SPECIALIST in the Administrative Office of SUPERVISOR OF SHIPBUILDING GROTON.
Duties
You will analyze and evaluate current procedures for the purpose of evaluating administrative/support services effectiveness.
You will manage the mail and file operations for an entire activity/command.
You will utilize established tracking systems (Technical Support Management System (TSM), Mail Action Tracking System Module (MATS)) to record and track correspondence of the exchange of documents.
You will provide guidance and direction regarding policy, procedures and operations.
You will plan, determine and coordinate the general office and administrative services required to support an office.
You will manage, administer, and implement the property control and accountability program to ensure government property is accounted for.
Requirements

Qualifications
For the GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: "Providing day-to-day management of the office and administrative duties in support of the organization's operations, associate facilities or record management programs."
For the GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: "Providing administrative support services to include planning or coordinating daily operations of a work unit to ensure timely completion of assignments or tasks for a record management program." Examples of qualifying experience may include: knowledge of the methods and procedures for providing or performing a variety of functions and services applicable to the position to be filled; ability to plan, organize, and control work involving diverse activities; ability to gain cooperation and coordinate the work of others; and skill in oral and written communications.

Education may be substituted for specialized experience as follows for GS-09:Applicants may substitute the following education for the required experience, provided it demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position: 2 years or a master's or equivalent graduate degree which includes major study in public administration, business administration, industrial engineering, industrial management, or other administrative or management fields related to the position to be filled.
Education may be substituted for specialized experience as follows for GS-07:Applicants may substitute the following education for the required experience, provided it demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position: (1) full academic year of graduate-level education which includes major study in public administration, business administration, industrial engineering, industrial management, or other administrative or management fields related to the position to be filled.
