About the Position: Fort Gregg-Adams, Home of Logistic Warriors, is a US Army installation located near the Tri-Cities of Petersburg, Colonial Heights, and Hopewell, VA. Fort Gregg-Adams is south of Richmond, the Capital of Virginia. There are a number of important missions accomplished by the activities located here. The missions accomplished at Fort Gregg-Adams include combat and training development and the professional development of military personnel through various training programs.

Duties

The duties of this position are for the full performance level. The duties at the GS-11 grade level are the same but with closer than normal supervision. Provides assistance to directors, the Chief of Staff, Commandants and Deputy Commanders on manpower adjustments and the administration of performance management. Independently develops, evaluates and presents conclusions and recommendations for alternate or corrective action. Responsible for collecting and reporting data/narrative input for Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) data calls; serves on BRAC task force when established. Serves as a management analyst in the Manpower and Equipment Documentation Branch of Management and Manpower Division.

OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. Specialized Experience for GS-12: One year of specialized experience which includes experience conducting comprehensive analysis of manpower programs, manpower actions and available resources to enhance productivity, collects, compiles, and records and maintains program data. Performs independent analyses and compiles statistical data as necessary of methods, procedures, or organization designed to evaluate and improve manpower, prepares detailed proposals or recommendations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
