About the Position: Kimbrough is the headquarters of the U.S. Army Medical Department Activity (MEDDAC), Fort George G. Meade, includes a number of U.S. Army health clinics, occupational health clinics, telemedicine, behavioral health, allergen extract lab, drug testing labs, and environmental health clinics at several installations in MD, PA, VA, & D.C. This position primarily works in an office cubicle within the logistics warehouse. Hours of work are 7:30 A.M. - 4:30 P.M.

Duties

Serve as expert facilitator in all fields of logistics involving medical and nonmedical supplies and services. Provide training to new MTF staff members on supply system procedures. Utilize a variety of sophisticated electronic data processing systems to accomplish daily operations. Serve as an Approving Official and/or Purchase card holder to conduct procurement requirements below the micro-purchase threshold for supplies and services. Order and stock a variety of technical supplies ranging from common administrative and medical support materials through surgical instruments and surgical support equipment. Perform procurement functions in accordance with laws and regulations as established in the Federal acquisition regulation, Defense federal acquisition regulation, and all other established regulations.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is therefore subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Tier 1 security investigation or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
  • This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.

OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
