You will serve as a Financial Management Analyst of NAVMEDRSCHCEN SILVER SPRING MD.

Duties

You will analyze, problem-solve, interpret and apply financial regulations and policies. You will utilize financial software and tools such as spreadsheets, databases and financial management systems. You will maintain and reconcile accounts and accounting data, preparing and analyzing reports. You will utilize Department of Defense and/or Department of Navy systems accounting systems, accounting terminology and apply standard accounting practices.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• This is a Financial Management Level II certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
• This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experince with attention to details and be able to identify discrepencies for reconciliations. Experience related to financial experience or a financial degree (such as Finance, Accounting, Business or Mangement, etc.) Experience of any enterprise resource planning systems, such as NERP or SAP. Experience working knowledge of Excel.
