The incumbent will be part of the Program Management Organization (PMO) working with professionals from various disciplines such as computer science, engineering, mathematics, etc.

Duties

The PMO provides program and acquisition management for the FAA infrastructure programs that transform, modernize and sustain the National Airspace System (NAS). The focus of the PMO is engineering, acquisition and second-level engineering software maintenance for the FAA's automation systems. The goal is for the student trainee to become familiar with programs, projects and functions of the organization.

Qualifications

To qualify for the FV-C, you must be currently enrolled full time or at least half time in an accredited educational institution (college, university, vocational school, trade school, etc.) and show completion of 1 full academic year of post-high school study. Full or half time enrollment is defined by your educational institution.BASIC REQUIREMENTS:Degree Requirement: course of study leading to a Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science.This occupation has specific educational requirements for entry and applicants must show evidence that their planned academic program will meet those requirements (i.e. transcript reflecting enrollment in applicable programs). Students who graduate without meeting those requirements may not be converted to the target position and could be separated from federal service. Educational Requirements for conversion to the target position are:you must be enrolled in an accredited college or university in a program leading to a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science; OR pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher which includes 30 semester hours in a combination of computer science, mathematics, and statistics.
