This position will be assigned to Soundside Club and is not guaranteed a set number of hours but can be scheduled 0 - 40 hours per week. Duties

INTRODUCTION: The function of the organization where this position is located is in official functional statements. The purpose of this position is to mix and serve pre-mixed alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages from a limited-service bar. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Operates limited-service bars. Prepares a limited variety of alcoholic drinks by selecting proper premix and garnish. Serves beer, soda and wine. Serves patrons directly or delivers to waiter. Receives payment, operates cash register, and makes and returns change to patrons or waiter. Sets up bar for operation and obtains cash bank. Maintains work area neat and clean. Washes bar equipment, glassware, and utensils. Stocks service bars and assists higher-level bartender as required. May be required to prepare documentation for cash funds accountability. Requirements

• This position requires satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks in accordance with Air Force and DoD policy, and a Tier 1 background investigation with favorable results.
• This position has a physical lifting requirement which requires the incumbent to complete a favorable pre-employment physical.
• This position requires the incumbent to complete assigned training, to include Food Handlers Certification, within specified time from date hire or assignment to the position.
• Must meet state and legal age requirement for sale of alcoholic beverages. Florida requires applicants to be 18 years of age at the close of this announcement.
• This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Qualifying Experience: Must have experience mixing alcoholic beverages for retail sale, which includes knowledge of correct proportions and mixtures to use in preparing beverages. Must be able to recognize intoxicated or unruly patrons and to resolve the problem or seek assistance if needed. Must be able to follow cash handling procedures. Must be physically able to frequently lift objects weighing 5 to 15 pounds, pull and push objects weighing 10 to 20 pounds, and occasionally lift up to and over 40 pounds. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical. Must meet the appropriate minimum age requirement for working with and/or serving alcoholic beverages. Must be able to obtain a Food Handler's Certificate and/or complete food handler's training. Must be able to communicate clearly with customers, and possess skill in dealing with the public. Must be able to work days, nights, weekends and holidays. Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
