This position is located in the Logistics Services Division, Office of Management Services, and Office of the Executive Director, Bureau of Diplomatic Security(DS/EX/MGT/LS).
You will serve as Chief of the Logistics Services Division with responsibility for planning and directing the DS centralized logistics program.
Duties
Provide strategic guidance, coordination, and leadership for DS senior management and appropriate Department personnel in executing the Bureau programs related to fleet management, property management, facility management, and resource allocation.
Communicate strategic vision to first-line supervisors who monitor the day-to-day administrative and managerial operations of the division.
Serve as the principal liaison between the Bureau of Administration, GSA, and building management and commercial vendors in the acquisition and execution of facility services.
Perform analyses of a wide variety of issues concerning logistics and administrative management policy, operations, and procedures, particularly those requiring review and coordination across organizational and functional lines.
Requirements

- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
- Obtain/maintain eligibility to access Sensitive Compartmented Information
Qualifications
Applicants must meet all the required qualification requirements described below by the closing date of this announcement.
NOTE: Applicants must meet time-in-grade and time after competitive appointment requirements, by the closing date of this announcement. Time-In-Grade Requirements: Federal applicants must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade to satisfy time-in-grade restrictions, per 5CFR 300, Subpart F.
Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position. Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
-Experience providing guidance and briefings to senior management on critical issues affecting the delivery of logistics services;
- Experience planning and developing directives, policies, guidelines and procedures governing a logistics management program to include space, property and facility management, fleet management, and domestic and international travel authorization and control;
- Experience performing liaison functions between government agencies, building management and commercial vendors.
There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-15 position.
In addition, applicant's experience must also demonstrate that the candidate possesses the following qualities:
