This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Program Integrity, Division of Vulnerability, Innovation and Strategy (FCLKA) .
As a Supervisory Health Insurance Specialist, GS-0107-14, you will assists the Division Director to effectively manage an ongoing governance structure that engages leadership and staff across CPI and CMS components on Medicare and Medicaid program integrity (PI) vulnerabilities.
Duties
Ensures that the division’s work supports CMS’ and HHS’ strategic plans, mission, vision, and values.
Oversees the technically complex projects and initiatives designed to address HHS and CMS Strategic Plan goals and objectives related to the work of the organization.
Serves as an expert and resource to CMS leadership on issues related to the provision of statistical, data, and operational analysis for program integrity issues on Medicare and Medicare programs.
Assists the DVIS Director with coordinating all facets of the Division’s work by mobilizing a diverse staff of social science research, health insurance, management, and program analysis, nursing, and information technology professionals.
Advisor to the Division on decisions and recommendations associated with collaborating with other CMS components on developing strategies, policies, and procedures to facilitate the process for establishing mutually beneficial partnerships.

In order to qualify for the GS-14 grade level , you must meet the following: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal government, obtained in either the private or public sector, to include:
Engage with leadership and staff across CMS components on Medicare, Medicaid, and/or Exchange issues.
Serves as a central point of contact and liaison to internal and external stakeholders regarding emerging CMS issues.
Leads, gives advice, and/or counsels team members on work and administrative matters.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Time-in-Grade: To be eligible, current Federal employees must have served at least 52 weeks (one year) at the next lower grade level from the position/grade level(s) to which they are applying.
