The primary purpose of this position is to support the Public Assistance Regional Operational Branch or the COVID Operations Branch as the Section Chief. The PA-ROB and COVID Operations interfaces with all Grantees to ensure proper management of their PA legacy portfolios to include all open disasters transitioned to the Region. Provides long-term and strategic oversight of public assistance disaster grants.

In this Supervisory Emergency Management Specialist (Recovery) position, you will oversee the delivery of the Public Assistance Program before, during and following federally declared emergencies and disasters declared under the Stafford Act.

To qualify for this Supervisory Emergency Management Specialist (Recovery) position at the IC-13 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the IC-12 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the Federal or Private Sector and must demonstrate all of the following:
Providing technical guidance on federal laws, regulations, and policies governing Public Assistance Grants programs;
Supervising a team of employees to include setting standards for achieving organizational goals, employee performance goals, monitoring progress, and reviewing outcomes;
Communicating with internal and external customers and conveying organizational/agency policies and goals;
