Duties
Incumbent is assigned to the Single Marine Program at the Enlisted Recreation Center (aka The Great Escape) to assist with the planning a comprehensive program of social, cultural, athletic, and recreational activities targeting Marines and Sailors ages 18 to 25 years. The program addresses Quality of Life issues for single Marines aboard MCAS Miramar. Performs and/or assists in the operation of the recreation activity. Based on established policies, incumbent carries out assigned phases of designated activity applying an understanding of the interest and needs of program participants. Typical assignments may include establishing schedules of events, applying rules and regulations in supervising assigned participants in indoor and outdoor activities, setting up gymnasiums and playing fields for sports events, scheduling and conducting tours and field trips. Incumbent will need to demonstrate activities and procedures common to the activities and instruct participants in the use of related equipment. Will be responsible for conducting instructional classes, as well as assisting/helping plan and coordinate details of recreational activities. Responsible for maintaining supplies required for the program. Assists in planning, scheduling, and publicizing various activities to attract and motivate participants.

Qualifications
Minimum one year experience in a related recreational activity. Must have the ability to supervise large groups of people and the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Skill to demonstrate activities and use of related facility equipment. Skill to learn applicable MCCS policies and procedures. Incumbent is required to travel at minimum once each quarter to meet program requirements. Travel requires multiple overnight and weekend stays. This position works frequent nights and weekends. Must have valid CA driver¿s license, maintain a clear driving record, and meet all insurability requirements. Preferred knowledge of Marine Corps and MCCS. This is a mixed position where the incumbent must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently and objects over 45lbs with assistance.
