About the Position: Serve as Procurement Technician within the Mission and Installation Contracting Command performing technician work that supports the management and oversight of the procurement of supplies, services and construction.
Duties
Provide technical support to various procurement programs and systems.
Perform technician work to support management and oversight of procurement of administrative supplies and services.
Monitor various automated information management systems by entering, searching for, editing, and extracting data and information to provide to information to management.
Support service functions to include personnel actions, clerical support, records management, mail service, time and attendance administration.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Business travel will be up to 5% of the time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Preparing purchase requisitions to request funds for supplies; and 2) Maintaining automated database system to provide reports to management; and 3) Reviewing procurement packages to ensure supply and service orders are in compliance with regulations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
