Duties
This position will:
Serve as the Associate Director for the Office of Data Services
Exercise broad oversight of the Office's activities
Oversee multi-discipline experts, including strategists, designers, data scientists, software developers, computer scientists, product developers and managers, and engineers
Work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment
Serve, at any given time, as a consultant, engineer, designer, strategist, or leader who guides a team or processes through algorithms and systems development.
Develop and deploy tools, frameworks, or solutions that turn the most vexing data problems into solutions that help Federal Agencies to provide to the public or businesses, timely access to governmental information.

Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
Degree: Mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science or field directly related to the position. The degree must be in a major field of study (at least at the baccalaureate level) that is appropriate for the position.
OR
Combination of education and experience: Courses equivalent to a major field of study (30 semester hours) as shown in paragraph A above, plus additional education or appropriate experience.
IN ADDITION: Applicant must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 level. Specialized experience is defined as experience managing and overseeing project plans for data services, experience leading a technology or data services organization, experience mitigating risks and building relationships with customers in a fee-based consultancy service that offers a range of information-based products and services.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done. We will credit all qualifying volunteer experience in your application.
