About the Position: Serves as an Antiterrorism/Force Protection Specialist and a subject matter expert for the US Army Antiterrorism Program. Directly Responsible for developing, coordinating, monitoring, and evaluating the status of the antiterrorism and force protection (AT/FP) activities within the command area of responsibility (AOR) to include supporting the recovery program as needed.
Duties
Coordinate and synchronizes related Antiterrorism and Force Protection (AT/FP) plans.
Conduct engagements with partner nation security forces supporting US personnel, to ensure capability and capacity to support the command force protection, search and rescue mission requirements
Develop scenarios, develops and publishes exercise guidance, coordinates with the participation of command and deployed units in exercise to test portions of the command / exercise / Operation Protection plans.
Responsible for reviewing Task Critical Assets (TCA) to verify and validate the Basic Elements of Information (BEIs) in the Strategic Mission Assurance Database System (SMADS).
Develop and tests procedures to disseminate time-sensitive terrorist threat information during duty and non-duty hours to staff.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 50% of the time.
- This position is covered by the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program. The incumbent is required to sign a DA Form 5019 and must pass urinalysis testing, as required prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- In accordance with AR 690-11, this position has been designated as "Emergency-Essential".
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination.
- This position requires you meet the criteria to Immunization screening.
- This position is subject to the provisions of the Domestic Violence Offender Gun Ban commonly referred to as the Lautenberg Amendment.
- This position requires the incumbent obtain the following core Security Professional Education Development ( SPeD) Certification: Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) within their first two years of employment.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting with developing crisis management plans and guidance for reacting to terrorist attacks; Conducting mission assurance vulnerability assessments and risk analysis; reviewing Task Critical Assets (TCA) to verify and validate the Basic Elements of Information (BEIs) in the Strategic Mission Assurance Database System (SMADS) and experience with the application of antiterrorism concepts and force protection, theories and programs to resolve problems that affect safety and effectiveness. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
