About the Position: This position is located at the Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCOE), Ft. Moore, Georgia 31905. The Maneuver Center of Excellence is located 100 miles south of Atlanta and is adjacent to Columbus, Georgia and Phenix City, Al. The geography and climate are ideal for year round military training. Public transportation and free parking is available.

Duties

Informally brief students on the aspects of tours, to include climate, attire, objectives, duration, and other relevant aspects. Provide information and guidance to volunteers and community groups relative to religious, cultural, and social beliefs and customs of different countries. Maintains local files/folders of events to include information packet, handouts, itinerary, documentation/justification of invited guests, escort/IMS assessment, and detailed receipts. Assist in the arrangement for local orientation tour of neighboring civilian communities for international students and dependents such as visits to local city government centers, businesses and industries, and educational and cultural facilities.

Requirements

  • This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • The incumbent of this position will be required to work extended work days, long hours, be able to travel on weekends. Work will require adjusted tours of duty to accommodate participation in scheduled official functions after duty hours.
  • Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a valid state driver's license to operate a 15-passenger van.
  • Incumbent may be required to travel TDY up to 25% of the time.
  • A pre-employment physical is required based upon heavy lifting requirement.

OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as International Studies. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: ConscientiousnessCustomer Service (Clerical/Technical)Interpersonal SkillsTeamwork Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
