About the Position: This position performs voucher examining duties verifying and reconciling claims covered by the Disposition of Remains. Position is located in Human Resources Command (HRC), The Adjutant General Directorate (TAGD), Casualty & Mortuary Affairs at Fort Knox, Kentucky.
Duties
Researches unliquidated disbursements and reports recurring activities to management.
Employee consults with contracting, logistics and appropriate budget personnel on payments, procedures, and statuses of unique payment processes and authorizations.
Employee uses and maintains data from automated DOD personnel, travel, and budget systems for reports and analysis.
Employee prepares, maintains and reviews the bills register to determine outstanding documentation and potential for purging various records.
Employee examines vouchers for money amounts, calculations, validation of source documents and fund citations.
Requirements

- Position requires completion of one (1) year probationary period unless the requirement has been previously met.

Experience Required:
To qualify based on your work experience, the resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience reviewing and correcting erroneous accounting data from various source documents to ensure correct input into automated systems. Experience Obtaining required information, signatures, documents, correction of mistakes, fund citations. Experience exercising judgment and discretion to determine corrective action or make recommendation for corrective action.

Certification Level 2: THIS IS A FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Level 2 Certified position designated as such in accordance with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Public Law 112-81, Subtitle F-Financial Management, section 1051, amending 10 United States Code, section 1599d. Incumbent of this position is required to comply with all Department of Defense and Department of the Army requirements of this certification program. This certification requirement is a condition of employment for this position. Failure to obtain this certification within the required time may subject the incumbent to adverse action.
