You will serve as a STUDENT TRAINEE (BIOLOGICAL SCIENCE) in multiple departments of UNIF SRVS UNI OF THE HLTH SCI.
This position may be located in the following locations:
Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) located in Bethesda, MD
College of Allied Health Sciences (CAHS) located in San Antonio, TX
Duties
You will perform basic laboratory procedures such as standardized tests or technical laboratory tasks.
You will assist with the maintenance of laboratory records related to specific projects.
You will record instrument readings, collect specified amount and type of samples, and take measurements.
You will assist in maintaining and calibrating standard and common laboratory equipment.
You will assist higher level personnel in maintaining inventory of chemicals, equipment, and supplies.
Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
For the GS-04 grade level, applicants must have completed 2 full academic years of post-high school study or an associate's degree.

Education
Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess
1) A high school whose curriculum has been approved by a State or local governing body, or a home-school curriculum that has been approved by such a body or a State; and
2) Any of the following educational institutions or curricula that have been accredited by an accrediting body recognized by the secretary of the U.S. Department of Education: (i) A technical or vocational school; (ii) A 2-year or 4-year college or university; (iii) A graduate or professional school (e.g., law school, medical school); or (iv) A home-school curriculum.
