DCSA's Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), Architecture and Engineering, is seeking an Information Technology Specialist who will serve as JWICS/NIPRNET/SIPRNET automation subject matter expert responsible for management of Systems Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)/Windows Server Update Services (WSUS), managing the agencies Windows-based computer systems, and backup oversight for DCSA Communication Security (COMSEC) in a complex networked environment.

- If selected, the incumbent must obtain and maintain appropriate security clearance as indicated in job announcement.
- 70.01-M within six months of the appointment date.The incumbent must successfully complete the COMSEC Custodian Training Course (IAEC) within the first six months of employment.
- The incumbent will be required to obtain and maintain appropriate Information Technology/Security certifications equivalent to Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level I as defined by DoD 8570.01-M within six months of the appointment date.
Qualifications
For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. The employing agency is responsible for identifying the specific level of proficiency required for each competency at each grade level based on the requirements of the position being filled.

Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position.
You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade GS/GG 11 in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility.
Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience. Specialized experience for this position includes:
Demonstrate experience researching new automation technologies.
Demonstrate experience maintaining hardware and software purchases, updates, and service contracts.
Demonstrate experience in creation of accreditation packages, change requests, and baselines for laptop, tablet, desktop, and VDI environments
Demonstrate Must have knowledge with ensuring compliance with DISA vulnerability management processes
Specifically you will be evaluated on the following competencies:
Information Technology Configuration Management- Plan, implement, track and/or evaluate configuration/requirement changes across the enterprise and organizations.
Information Technology Life Cycle Management-Plan, develop and/or manage processes across the information systems/services life cycle to ensure Information Technology capabilities meet current and future organizational and enterprise missions.
Information Technology Policy and Planning-Develop and promulgate Information Technology strategy, policy, guidance, and plans. Monitor to ensure consistency and compliance.
Information Technology Performance Assessment Conduct continuous performance measurement to ensure that Information Technology activities, processes, and/or hardware/software are achieving desired results.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
