THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a SUPPLY SYSTEMS ANALYST (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D2785000 and is part of the NC USPFO, National Guard (USPFO-SSD-MPM / MD 1626-720). **Primary purpose of this position is to perform developmental assignments**

Duties

As a SUPPLY SYSTEMS ANALYST, GS-2003-07/09 (the primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Supply Systems Analyst in a developmental capacity), you will perform developmental assignments; perform developmental assignments of moderate difficulty where work procedures are established, and a number of specific guidelines exist; work assignments consisting of a series of specific and related tasks have been selected to orient the employee in the practical application of basic supply principles, concepts, and techniques; assignments are combined with training to further develop analytical skills and techniques as a Supply Systems Analyst; assistance in solving problems is available from the supervisor or a higher-graded specialist; perform recurring assignments; independently perform recurring assignments of limited, but gradually increasing, difficulty and complexity; the employee is responsible for locating and selecting the most appropriate guidelines and procedures for application and making minor deviations to adapt the guidelines to specific cases; analyze routine problems that are encountered and resolves them; refer deviations, problems, and unfamiliar situations to the supervisor for assistance; participate in special initiatives, studies, and projects; work with other specialists in planning and conducting special initiatives, studies, and projects; assist in preparing reports and briefings outlining study findings and recommendations; prepare written correspondence and other documentation; draft or prepare a variety of documents to include newsletter items, responses to routine inquiries, reports, letters, and other related documents; perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED. If you are not sure you are eligible for military membership, please contact a National Guard recruiter prior to applying for this position.
  • This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.
  • Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
  • Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.
  • Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.
  • Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
  • May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
  • Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.

Qualifications

MILITARY GRADES: Enlisted (E4 to E7) or Warrant Officer (WO1 to CW3) MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Experience, education, or training which has provided the applicant with a general knowledge of one or more aspects of the supply field. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: (Must have 12 months)experience, education, or training in researching documents or other resources to coordinate inventory requirements. Experience analyzing, developing, evaluating to improve supply programs, policies, procedures, techniques, etc. Experience involving the control of supply stocks and accounting for equipment. Knowledge of supply functions, cataloging, maintenance and disposal procedures. Experience which required person-to-person contacts to convey information and ability to compile reports, letters, memoranda, etc..
