You will serve as a Procurement Technician (OA) in the Public Works Office, Facilities ENG & ACQ Division, Acquisition Branch of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.

Duties

You will track the status of actions/orders using automated and manual systems and through contacts with vendors/contractors and with functional personnel within the command. You will use electronic systems for creating, extracting, adding, deleting, editing and storing information in completion of forms, tabular and text material, general correspondence, reports and memoranda. You will investigate customer or vendor complaints of errors in shipment, payment, and/or contract documentation. You will establish and maintain contract files. You will evaluate procurement problems to recommend solutions for identified discrepancies.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Establishing and maintaining contract files and assembling all necessary documents into contract files; 2) Performing clerical duties and using word processing and other types of software (spreadsheets, databases, etc.) to process and produce a wide range of documents, some of which require complex formats in support of the contracting branch; 3) Serving as the office receptionist, receiving/referring telephone calls and visitors to appropriate personnel for assistance, coordinating security requests for contractor access, receiving and distributing mail; 4) Serving as the primary point of contact for contractor invoice payment issues with responsibility for ensuring availability of funds, accurate allocation of funds, and timely payment for services received by the Government; 5) Providing assistance in entering, tracking, and completing all interim and final contractor performance evaluations and contract closeouts in to the appropriate databases and; 6) Serving as Government-wide Commercial Purchase Card (GCPC) holder adhering to command GCPC policy.
