As a Operations Coordinator, you will Support Federal agencies occupying Federally owned and/or leased buildings by providing leadership, oversight, expert advice, and coordination of the operations and maintenance services provided by the Service Centers.
Location of position: Public Buildings Service (PBS), National Capital Region (NCR), White House Service Center
We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.
Duties
Oversees, coordinates and integrates the work of a cross-functional staff performing a variety of work related to the operation, maintenance, renovation and repair of government buildings as well as administration, and fiscal management of leased properties.
Monitors complex and high visibility projects in the Division business line involving building operations functions requiring the combined efforts of two or more of the branches.
Assists Customer Service Managers, building managers and the Director with complex politically sensitive projects. Works closely with building managers, asset managers and program analysts to monitor operating costs for government owned and leased buildings. Assists in obtaining the approval of high-ranking agency and client agency officials and tenant Committees, on controversial strategic portfolio and asset management decisions.
Evaluates work performance of subordinates and gives advice, counsel, or instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters. Interviews candidates for positions in the unit and recommends appointment, promotion, or reassignment to such positions.
Requirements
- US Citizenship or National (Residents of American Samoa and Swains Island)
- Meet all eligibility criteria within 30 days of the closing date
- Meet time-in-grade within 30 days of the closing date, if applicable
- Register with the Selective Service if you are a male born after 12/31/1959
- Complete a financial disclosure.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.

The GS-14 salary range starts at $139,395 per year. To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is working with building/facility managers, asset managers and program analysts to monitor operating costs for buildings. Experience must include: Coordinating the approval of high-ranking client officials and tenant committees on controversial strategic portfolio and asset management decisions; and Serving as a Representative to national and local industry and community groups related to portfolio management activities (e.g., American Planning Association, the Building Owners and Managers Association, the Urban Land Institute) and others in meetings, conferences, briefings, etc.
