About the Position: This position is located at 341st Medical Group, Malmstrom Air Force Base, Montana. Experience with Air Force and/or Defense Health Agency personnel systems is desired. 1-year experence with tracking Government Travel and/or Purchase Card compliance is desired. 1-year experience with HR functions such as vacancy and recruitment coordination and tracking is desired.

Duties

Serve as a subject matter expert for all mandated administrative support programs such as Government Travel Card Program, Defense Travel System, Drug Demand Reduction Program, and Civilian Timecard Program. Directly assists the commander/director in the management of all administrative support program functions. Acts as the point of contact for all newly assigned personnel; orients them regarding the basic functions of the organization, introduces them to key personnel and schedules their initial training/orientation requirements. Instructs others on changes in administrative policies and procedures. Prepares, maintains, and disseminates required administrative reports and other correspondence. Assist in providing administrative Human Resources support to management and employees.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
  • Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
  • Tuberculosis testing is required.

OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages. AND Proficiency Required:This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5-minute sample with three or fewer errors. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: CommunicationsComputer LiteracyPersonnel and Human ResourcesProgram Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
