You will serve as a EQUAL EMPLOYMENT SPECIALIST in the Human Capital Management Group, Equal Employment Opportunity Dept. of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV POINT MUGU.

Duties

You will assist in administering the Equal Employment Opportunity Program and processing informal and formal EEO complaints. You will provide advice and guidance to managers and employees on the EEO processes. You will coordinate EEO reports and information collection. You will serve as the EEO Counselor.

Requirements

• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final SECRET security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

DA-03 Your resume must demonstrate that you have at least one year of specialized Equal Employment Specialist experience equivalent to the next lower DA-02 Pay Band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experiences must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Interpreting employment policies, procedures, and guidance in regard to Equal Employment Opportunity; 2) Preparing various correspondence and reports to complete work assignments; 3) Making corrections, deletions, and revisions to records; 4) Maintaining files and records. DA-02 Your resume must demonstrate that you have at least three years of general experience that includes one year of Equal Employment Specialist experience equivalent to at least the DA-01 pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. DA-03:

Master's or equivalent graduate degree

or

2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

DA-02:

You have successfully completed a four-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree as related to the Equal Employment Specialist position being filled.

You have successfully completed one full year of graduate level education as related to the Equal Employment Specialist position being filled

You have successfully completed a bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement as related to the Equal Employment Specialist position being filled
.Or
You have a combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience as related to the Equal Employment Specialist position being filled. Your percentage of the required education plus your percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent. (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of undergraduate education by 12. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at 100 percent to qualify.)
