About the position: This position will be assigned to the Heritage Inn located at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base. This is a flexible position meaning it guarantee's 0 hours but could work up to 40 hours and it does not include benefits.

Duties

Introductory Statement: The function of the organization where this position is to provide housing to transient personnel, to families who are temporarily without permanent housing, furnishings for transient quarters, and linen exchange services to authorized organizations. The purpose of this position is to perform manual-labor tasks involving the use of common hand tools and simple- power-equipment for Services Lodging.

Requirements

• This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
• This position requires satisfactory completion of pre-employment physical exam.
• This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Manual skill and knowledge to operate simple power equipment, such as powered push lawnmowers, leaf blowers, weed trimmers and low-pressure sprayer. Knowledge of basic hand tools such as handsaws, hatchets, clippers. Ability to read and follow simple signs and specific written and/or oral instructions involving duties with several distinct tasks or steps. Physically able to frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds and be able to occasionally lift and carry object weighing up to 50 pounds. Able to actively bend, stoop, stand, reach, and work in awkward positions.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
