The Office of the Circuit Executive for the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals located in Denver, Colorado is seeking a qualified Information Technology professional to serve as a member of the Department of Information Technology's Circuit Security team.
Duties
The security team, working from a formal IT security plan, provides risk management, vulnerability management, and IT security innovation to the courts within the Tenth Circuit. Included in this is support for national tools, policy creation and review, training, risk management strategy, and an annual independent assessment process. The environment is fast-paced and demanding. The incumbent should be able to provide exceptional customer service and work effectively in a team environment. The position offers work-life balance with a weekly mixture of in-office and remote work.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:
Provide standardized vulnerability scanning and remediation procedures, advising courts on how to improve scanning processes and results.
Create and implement localized vulnerability patching plans for Tenth Circuit courts.
Assist local courts in interpreting vulnerability scans to improve patching strategies.
Develop and submit remediation scripts and techniques to the national remediation repository.
Assist in the development of configuration management guidelines and secure baselines where appropriate.
Conduct risk assessments, provide recommendations, and support the implementation of risk mitigation strategies where appropriate.
Assist in the management and implementation of assessments with court units.
Coordinate, schedule, and communicate with local courts.
Design and implement process improvement strategies.
Oversee and document all technical remediations from start to finish.
Track and organize all data to measure points of success and areas in need of improvement for each local court.
Perform occasional off-hour work.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Two years of progressively responsible experience working with computer networks, endpoints and network management tools, including the understanding of principles, practices, and techniques of data communications and network management or completion of a bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
Excellent customer service skills and strong oral and written communication skills.
Knowledge of Windows, Active Directory, Group Policy, and Mac/OSX/iOS.
Troubleshooting of LAN/WAN, WiFi, and remote access connectivity.
Ability to travel for court-related business upon request.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Familiarity with security tools such as Splunk, Tenable Security Center, KACE, Workspace One MDM and other systems management, security, and automating tools is preferred.
Federal court experience and/or experience working with court-related computer systems.
