Duties

This is a developmental position leading to the full performance level as described in PD #AK008 for the Recreation Assistant. Completes a prescribed agenda of formal/informal classroom and on-the-job training and self-development as set forth in the individual Training Development Plan. At management's request, the incumbent may be non-competitively promoted after one year of satisfactory performance provided the target position guide is classifiable In a patron usage facility, circulates among patrons to assure service is satisfactory; receives and resolves customer complaints; provides information and general instructions on the use of equipment, facilities and machinery. Assists in planning, conducting, and arranges support for special events, social activities, tournaments and related functions. May provide work guidance to other staff.

Requirements

• Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
• A one year probationary period may be required.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
• Ability to work the Core hours of 0600- 2100. Hours of operation are subject to change based upon customer demand or programmed activities.
• Job may require work in various facilities depending on requirements as determined by customer demand or programmed activities.

Qualifications

NF-01 Qualifications: No work experience required. NF-02 Qualifications: Work Experience which involved dealing with the general public. Referrals and selections can be made at either grade.
