This position is located in the Division of Administrative Services, Branch of Support Services at Crownpoint Healthcare Facility, Crownpoint, NM. The purpose of this position is to provide technical support and assistance to the Service Unit's Supply and Inventory Management Programs. In addition, to initiate and process receiving reports for supplies, equipment and services for the CHF prior to the submission of payment.
Duties
Provides support for supply operations in the acquisition, utilization disposal, inventory control, warehouse operations, security, etc for general administrative items, medical supplies and items requiring special handling.
Reviews requisitions, supporting documents and reference material to determine required priority supply action, status of action, changes in unexpected requirements and to expedite delivery of required items through correspondence and telephone calls to inventory control points, manufacturers, or other organizations.
Reviews proposed departmental purchase to ensure they are in accordance with fiscal year property/equipment plans.
Review records and demand data to determine if property has become obsolete or excess to the needs of the organization and/or excess to the overall requirements of the agency.
Review direct issue and stores receiving reports to ensure compliance with procedures regarding required financial management accounting data and supply management data.
Evaluates, organizes, completes, and maintains accurate data management system of all obligating records for equipment, supplies and services.
Interprets policies and procedures, laws and regulations to contractors, i.e., medical providers, private vendors and hospital staff.
Audit daily/monthly reports to ensure accuracy of supply transactions.
Relief and/or coverage becomes necessary to maintain operation of Telephone Operator duties at optimum level.
Qualifications

You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
GS-06
One year specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-05 level in the Federal Service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: utilizing an automated system for ordering and receiving supplies in a health care setting; reconciling transactions and processing payments for recurring invoices; & compiling/reviewing/maintaining data from contracts, purchase orders, and/or requisitions.
Time In Grade
Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).
