You will serve as a SCIENTIST in the CYBERSECURITY TEST & EVALUATION (59000) of NAVWARSYSCEN ATLANTIC CHARLESTON SC.

Duties

You will provide technical leadership in performing penetration tests and adversarial assessments and ability to lead a highly technical team of government and contract red team operators. You will ensure the NAVWAR Red Team (NWRT) continuously improves their understanding and usage of new and existing exploits and tools. You will demonstrate advanced knowledge of packet crafting tools and packet-level analysis tools to craft, record, and replay network traffic flows. You will demonstrate advanced knowledge of forensic analyses across multiple operating system environments (e.g., Windows, Linux, mobile device systems). You will employ vulnerability scanning and exploitation tools (e.g., Nessus, Metasploit, Cobalt Strike, Powershell Empire, other tools that are part of the Kali Linux distribution) to identify and exploit system/software vulnerabilities.

• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
• You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Leading and implementing the technical direction of teams in risk assessment methodologies, vulnerability identification, adversarial cybersecurity test and evaluation in both developmental and operational cyber environments. Basic Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or bachelor's degree with 30 semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science. At least 15 of the 30 semester hours must have included any combination of statistics and mathematics that included differential and integral calculus. All academic degrees and course work must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions.
