About the Position: This position is located in the Headquarters section of the United States Army Air Ambulance Detachment located at the Yakima Training Center in Washington State.

Duties

Keeps the customer informed of findings and the corrective action employed to rectify the problem. The incumbent maintains an accurate accounting and reporting of general supply assets. Performs investigations to locate items that are stored in improper locations. Performs stock status investigations, inputs data regarding status into the system, and performs physical checks of items in storage as appropriate to determine the cause of errors and reconcile the records. Conducts causative research to resolve discrepancies with hand receipt accounts to affect the accuracy of property records.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
  • This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
  • This position has a requirement to lift up to 50 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a Forklift Operator Certification.
  • The duties of this position may expose the incumbent to assets with fresh chemical agent resistant coating (CARC) paint.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • Incumbent has to perform Temporary Duty Travel up to 10 % of the time.

OR Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Computer LiteracyManages and Organizes InformationReasoning (Clerical/Technical)Technical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-04).
