The candidate will report to Region 3/External Affairs Division. The ideal candidate for this position will have experienced leading staff develop and implement communications strategies, tactics, and products for all communication products to reach the external partners such as the media, congressional, private sector, and state, local, tribal officials, and internal staff.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position at the GS-13 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the Federal or Private Sector and must demonstrate all of the following: Lead the planning and tracking of public information and/or special messaging campaigns to promote and explain organizations programs and/or activities, AND Presented recommendations regarding policies and/or organizational improvements to senior leadership; advising senior leadership on complex issues, AND Analyzed and identify trends in program planning and funding management to inform future year' work, AND Provided technical advice and guidance to congressional, state, local, tribal, and/or private sector officials on external affairs functions, strategies, and/or resources to achieve unified communications.
