This position is in the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center, 1300 Pennsylvania Ave., NW., Washington, DC, in the Office of Security, International Security Programs Division (SEC/ISP), at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).

Duties

Manages Regional Support and Partner Security Liaison Office teams with all aspects of security support issues at USAID Missions. Serves as the technical authority for the security requirements for Mission and Partner Liaison Security Programs. Conducts security assessments of facilities to ensure compliance with established security requirements. Such inspections examine facility physical security, technical security, guard force procedures, and armored vehicles. Develops and maintains effective liaison with colleagues in other federal agencies. Writes and reviews policy that conforms to all Federal and agency regulations and directives. Manages the technical support team that provides assistance to USAID missions and partners with emergency crisis management plans and services.

Qualifications

Specialized Experience: GS-14: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience relevant to the position's duties to be filled, including volunteer experience. CTAP/ICTAP candidates will be referred to the selecting official if they are found well qualified.
