The primary purpose of this position is to function as the 88th Wing Staff Agency (WSA)/ 88th Comptroller Squadron (CPTS) Unit Deployment Manager (UDM) ensuring assigned personnel are qualified and ready to meet Air Expeditionary Force requirements.
Duties
Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the Readiness Program, ensuring programs comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs. Configures and maintains functional Unit Type Codes (UTCs) as postured by MAJCOM FAMs (Functional Area Managers) using available unit assets.
Performs analysis activities. Establishes metric and system analysis systems for unit and higher level management to assess the efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance with regulatory procedures.
Provides technical guidance and recommendations to senior leadership regarding unit readiness program.
Ensures Personnel readiness. Ensures the unit is ready to meet wartime and peacetime mobility tasking by scheduling and tracking unit deployment training.

The incumbent will be required to complete mandatory UDM training to include IDS/LOGMOD training, Rereporting Tool (ART) training, and Pallet Build-Up/Hazardous Cargo Preparation training.
Incumbent may be required to work other than normal duty hours to include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays, or in situations that warrant immediate contingency response action.
May be required to attend workshops, seminars, symposia, and professional clusters or formal/continuing training classes as needed.
The employee will comply with locally directed commander training consistent with AF wide standards and directives applicable to Active Duty and contractor personnel performing similar occupational series duties.
The duties of this position meets all requirements as a category 4 designation, and shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization without seriously impairing the capability of the parent Federal Agency or office to function effectively. This position must be removed from the Ready Reserve and CAN NOT become a member of the Ready Reserve. (IA W: DoDD 1200.7, "Screening the Ready Reserve.")
The actual work performed in this position has been reviewed and determined that it does not meet any of the exemption criteria defined in 5 CFR 551. This position has been designated as nonexempt.

In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least 1 year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-01, equivalent to the next lower grade GS-04 or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes the following: Extracting information from emergency response systems. Using and reporting data in automated emergency response databases.
NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.

EDUCATION: Successfully completed four years education above high school. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts.
OR
COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A combination of specialized experience and education that when combined equals 100% of the qualifications requirement. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of DoD and USAF CBRN/Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and EM directives, doctrine, principles, policies, and lines of authority.
Knowledge of a wide range of readiness and emergency response principles, practices, procedures, and regulations applicable to the full range of contingency preparedness responsibilities on a military installation, and the relationship of these responsibilities to local civil emergency management programs.
Knowledge of a variety of information systems and programs used to manage training and equipment status reporting, e.g., Defense Readiness Reporting Systems (DRRS), and Status of Resources and Training (SORTS) System, Air Force Information Tool (AFIT), Aerospace Services Information Management System (ASIMS).
Skill in applying standard analytical and evaluative methods and procedures to evaluate local program operations, develop comprehensive plans, analyze work processes, and continually improve them to meet customer requirements.
Ability to plan, organize, communicate, advocate, and negotiate effectively with senior analysts and management to accept and implement recommendations where proposals involve substantial resources, and require extensive changes in established concepts and procedures.
Ability to work well within a complex group dynamic and in working groups.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
