This FOOD SERVICES ASSISTANT is located in the Army National Guard (ARNG), JFHQ, Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics (DCSLOG) G-4, Distribution Management Division, Supply and Services Branch, Food Service Section and is part of the CA JFHQ Logistics.

THIS IS A T5 EXCEPTED SERVICE, PERMANENT POSITION. The primary purpose of the FOOD SERVICES ASSISTANT, GS-1603-7, is to ??????assist the Food Service Manager in managing and providing oversight of the ARNG State Food Service Program.

FOOD SERVICES ASSISTANT, GS-1603-7: Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-06 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the Federal government. This experience may also have been obtained in the private sector, but must demonstrate that it is comparable to the GS grade indicated. Specialized experience may have been demonstrated by performing duties such as: Experience maintaining pertinent regulations, policies, and precedents which affect the use of program and related support resources (people, money, equipment) in the food service program; Experience performing food service in support of state and Federal National Guard operations, training, readiness missions, natural disasters, and Homeland Defense/Defense Support of Civil Authorities; Experience providing technical advice and guidance to subordinate units on all food service matters.
