About the Position: Serves as an Operations, Plans, and Logistics staff officer with responsibility for activities involved in operations, plans and logistics in support of Blue Grass Army Depot (BGAD) Directorates that supports the achievement of mission goals and objectives.

Duties

Conducts functional and operational analyses of projects. Coordinates projects and programs received/assigned by higher headquarters, the Commander, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff. Composes, records and publishes conference/event notes and minutes. Coordinates the review of completed projects for technical quality, consistency, logic, soundness and compliance with objectives. Keeps abreast of ongoing administrative procedures related to official travel, transportation and shipping, arranging for use of facilities. Coordinates a myriad of recurring and one-time conferences, classes, briefings for Command, VIPs and higher. Composes, prepares and assembles readaheads and briefings. Coordinates short and long-range events calendars.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires obtaining and maintaining a SECRET security clearance for the duration of employment.
  • This position requires possession of a valid, State-issued motor vehicle driver license.
  • This position requires unannounced duty schedule changes as well as lengthened duty days, to include possible weekend work to accommodate civilian/military executive travel departures/arrivals and opening/closing of the facility.
  • This position may require travel up to 25% of the time.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11 or above).
