You will serve as a Transportation Clerk (Passenger) in the Flight Services Division of the Operations Department at NAS North Island of NB CORONADO.

Duties

You will answer phone calls to provide requested travel information or direct the caller to another department. You will research discrepancies to resolve transportation issues. You will review travel requests to ensure entitlements are in accordance with federal and organization regulations and guidelines.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Coordinating complex travel itineraries for military and civilian personnel traveling at government expense on official orders to various destinations worldwide, via air or surface transportation. 2) Applying an extensive body of government travel regulations to coordinate personnel travel arrangements using an automated travel system (e.g. Defense Travel System), 3) Resolving a variety of personnel travel issues and ensuring all travel entitlements are paid in compliance with government travel rules.
