You will serve as a Management Analyst in Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Webster Outlying Field (NAWCAD WOLF).

Duties

You will serve as principal advisor to internal and external contacts on acquisition of services and/or hardware for assigned program. You will direct, integrate, and coordinate efforts in the development of acquisition policies and procedures. You will lead studies and develop strategies to address current and future services and hardware acquisition requirements. You will oversee efforts throughout the acquisition life cycle to perform planning and analysis functions. You will perform research tasks to obtain a variety of cost, schedule, and performance data. You will conduct analyses to derive relationships among system parameters, schedule variations, and costs. You will recommend procedures for preparing, documenting, validating, and presenting resources requirements to higher authority. You will use various mathematical, economic analysis, operations research, and computer modeling techniques to perform tasks.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent at the specialized Management Analyst experience equivalent to the DA-0343-05 STRL Pay Band or GS-Grade Level (GS-12/13) equivalent in the Federal Service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of qualifying specialized experience include (1) Collaborating with higher authorities and team members in multiple phases of acquisition program planning, review, and execution in support of agency mission and aviation program objectives; 2) Leading acquisition management, contract management, and funding support activities to accomplish air weapons system acquisition program requirements; 3) Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to implement solutions in support of acquisition initiatives and/or challenges to achieve successful results; and 4) Leading the development and timely submittal of hardware and service acquisition procurement packages.
