This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies for a student summer hire position with NAVFAC Atlantic located in Norfolk, VA.

Duties
You will provide technical support work to engineers or other technical specialists, requiring limited practical knowledge of engineering methods and techniques.
You will assist in updating engineering drawings and planning reports.
You will collect technical data for inclusion in engineering and planning studies and reports.
You will prepare basic drawings, charts, maps and sketches/details of connections and components related to facilities and engineering systems.
Requirements

- You must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license to travel to dispersed sites within the local commuting areas.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This is a bargaining unit position.

As a condition of employment, incumbent must be a student currently enrolled in a full-time academic program in an accredited business or technical school, junior college, college or university for which high school graduation or the equivalent is the normal prerequisite. (full-time is defined by the educational institution in which the student is enrolled).

Education
You may qualify for this position with the following education in lieu of specialized experience:
