Duties

THIS IS A T5 EXCEPTED SERVICE, PERMANENT POSITION The primary purpose of the IT SPECIALIST (NETWORK/SYSADMIN), GS-2210-11, is to provide support to Automated Logistics Information Systems and Programs to all State/Territory activities/organizations and perform a wide range of specialized methods/techniques for planning; analyzing and identifying problems in order to develop and implement resolutions to administrative and systemic programs throughout the organization.

IT SPECIALIST (NETWORK/SYSADMIN), GS-2210-11: Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-09 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the Federal government. This experience may also have been obtained in the private sector, but must demonstrate that it is comparable to the GS grade indicated. Specialized experience may have been demonstrated by performing duties such as: Experience that demonstrated accomplishment of computer project assignments that required a range of knowledge of computer requirements and techniques; Knowledge of the customary approaches, techniques, and requirements appropriate to an assigned computer applications area or computer specialty area in an organization; Experience planning the sequence of actions necessary to accomplish the assignment; Experience resolving issues and problems concerning the effectiveness and efficiency of automated logistical systems administrative and systemic work operations. Education

Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience: Undergraduate and Graduation Education in the Major studies--computer science, information science, information systems management, mathematics, statistics, operations research, or engineering, or course work that required the development or adaptation of computer programs and systems and provided knowledge equivalent to a major in the computer field.
