You will serve as a STUDENT SUPPORT ASSISTANT (MIL/OA) in the NAVY RECRUITING DIVISION of RECRUITING UNIT.

Duties

You will maintain customer service with students, liaisons and other agencies providing services. You will input and update student information in the automated programs. You will prepare, update, and print a variety of training related correspondence including graduation certificates and requests for student pay and travel.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

Qualifications

This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Performing administrative work in an office environment; 2) Utilizing office automation software to format documents and data; and 3) Maintaining and updating files based on policies and directives. Education

In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successful completion of four full academic years of education above high school
OR
A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience
