About the Position: This position resides in the U.S. Army Recruiting Command (USAREC), Brigade (BDE), S-3 Operations Division, Operations Branch. The purpose of this position is to support the Operations Branch by performing various military human resources (HR) administrative support duties.

Duties

Provides reliable guidance on military personnel issues impacting the organization’s mission. Delivers support to operations division of the organization by analyzing production trends. Prepares briefing packets/handouts for training events held by assigned organization. Collects data from multiple computer system to provide updates on mission accomplishments. Participates in the conduction of inspections and re-inspections of subordinate locations. Utilizes a military human resources database system to extract personnel data. Analyzes statistical production data to prepare reports and correspondence.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) of approximately three to five days a month to conduct training at and/or perform inspections of subordinate Battalions.
  • This position is dependent on successful completion of the United States Army/Army Reserve Guidance Counselor Operations Course (GCOC).

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Human Resources. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages. Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
