Duties

Analyze quality management approaches and current command culture. Implement training sessions for individuals, teams, groups, and committees to ensure they are properly educated in the concepts and tools of performance improvement. Serve as the primary point of contact within the command for Pl and TJC requirements and their associated directives. Incorporate pertinent facts and trends from the Professional Affairs Program into the Pl review process. Supervise four Civil Service Employees (the Infection Control Preventionist, Risk Manager, Credentials Program Specialist, and administrative assistant) and two contract personnel who cover Patient Safety and Lean Six PI initiatives.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
• Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
• Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.

Specialized experience: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes analyzing and resolving problems related to the healthcare delivery processes or policies or procedures; conducting statistical analysis of effectiveness and productivity of facility and administrative services in a healthcare setting and/ or applying and adapting administrative principles and practices in the analysis of organizational studies, statistical analysis, and development of plans. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
