This position serves as a Program Support Assistant providing Project Coordinator support at the local facility level for the national evaluation of the Whole Health Demonstration project.
Duties
As the Administrative Support Assistant, you will:
Serve as central point of contact to provide authoritative explanations of requirements, regulations, and procedures to resolve operational problems
Assist and carry out work for various projects on the utilization, costs, tracking and outcomes of the implementation of the Whole Health System
Report locally to the Chief of Whole Health and will work collaboratively with the National Evaluation Team at the Center of Patient Centered Care & Cultural Transformation
Responsible for recruiting patients
Coordinating project logistics
Data collection and management
Perform local trend analysis and other related studies
Establish and maintain project databases
Conduct research interviews
Assist with manuscript preparation and presentations
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 0730-1600
Telework: VA supports the use of telework as a way to help attract and retain talented individuals in public service, increase worker productivity, and better prepare the agency to operate during emergencies. This position may be authorized for telework. Telework eligibility will be discussed during the interview process.

Qualifications

You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below:
Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-04 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience includes: experience where you were responsible for providing administrative support; collecting, compiling and tracking data and information; processing documents and reports; establishing, updating and maintaining office files and records; performing automation duties using such software applications such as word processing, spreadsheet, electronic mail, desktop publishing, calendar, database and/or graphics; answering telephones, referring visitors, and providing information. NOTE: Experience must be fully documented on your resume and must include job title, duties, month and year start/end dates AND hours worked per week. OR,
Education: Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have completed four (4) years of education above the high school level in any field which high school graduation or the equivalent is the normal prerequisite. Transcripts must be submitted at time of application. OR,
Combination: Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. You must have equivalent combination of successfully completed post-high school education (beyond the second year) and specialized experience as described above, which meet the total experience requirements for this grade level. NOTE: Transcripts (unofficial or official) must be submitted with your application materials. Education cannot be credited without documentation. Experience must be clearly indicated in your resume.

Physical Requirements: The work may involve occasional travel. The work is sedentary. Typically, the position sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking, standing, bending, carrying of light items such as papers, books or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work. May be required to wear personal protective equipment if applicable.
