Duties

You will repair damage to main frame and body structures such as door posts, cab cowls, skeletal frame work and main support members. You will replace window regulators, door locks, seals and weather stripping as necessary. You will work from blueprints, sketches and drawings to form and fabricate parts such as body panels, fenders, doors, tailgates, fuel tanks, various brackets and clamps. You will replace broken and damaged window glass and windshields using standard factory replacement glass or by cutting and grinding new glass to size. You will operate metal fabricating machinery such as punch press, metals shears, press brake, roll machine, iron worker, lock forming machine, band saw and spot welder.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Works includes maintaining and repair mobile equipment bodies and main frames, repairs and rebuilds electronic shears, repairs and modifies track vehicles.
