Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: Degree: physics; or related degree that included at least 24 semester hours in physics OR Combination of education & experience: courses equivalent to a major in physics totaling at least 24 semester hours, plus appropriate experience or additional education NOTE: Courses must have included a fundamental course in general physics &, in addition, courses in any two of the following: electricity & magnetism, heat, light, mechanics, modern physics, & sound In addition to Basic Qualifications above, Minimum Qualifications must be met: GS-11: At least 3 years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR 1 year of specialized experience (GS-9 equivalent) OR A combination of education & experience GS-12 & above: At least 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level

Education

You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
