The Financial Counseling Department is responsible for providing guidance and support to Leadership, Members, Committees, Officers, and Office of the House regarding their official expenses (including Members' Representational Allowances) and processing reimbursement vouchers in accordance with the rules and regulations.

Qualifications

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a discipline related to the position preferred or an equivalent level of specialized work experience.Accounts payable, voucher processing and reconciliation experience with emphasis on customer service. Knowledge, Skill, and Ability (KSA) and Competency Requirements: Knowledge of voucher reconciliation and processing; working with financial systems/software; interpreting and applying workplace policies and procedures; customer service; ability to provide financial guidance to customers and stakeholders; demonstrated organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail; ability to work effectively in a team environment or independently in an interdisciplinary work environment.All employees within CAO are expected to demonstrate the following general competencies:  Accountability, Adaptability, Collaboration, Communication, Customer Orientation, Priority Management, and Problem Resolution.  Physical Requirements and Work Environment: This position is in an office setting that is adequately heated, lighted, and ventilated. Normal safety precautions apply. The work involves carrying light items such as books, papers, and small office equipment. The incumbent must be able to meet minimum physical requirements (lifting, bending, crouching, standing, etc.). Security Requirements: Must successfully complete a criminal history records check [or other applicable security clearance] and a pre-employment drug-test (pre-identified position only).
