You will serve as a MAINTENANCE MECHANIC LEADER in the Public Works Division of NAVFAC SOUTHWEST.

Duties

You will explain procedures, policies, written instructions, or other directives to others performing maintenance work. You will interpret instructions, sketches, blueprints, and building codes to decide the work methods or process best suited to complete the project. You will interpret blueprints or sketches in a group setting to determine specific work requirements for each team member. You will instruct trades and labor workers of technical principles, procedures, or standards required for safe operations. • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
• May require possession of a valid Environmental Protection Agency Universal Certification for working with all types of refrigerants at high and low pressures.
