You will serve as a ROOFER SUPERVISOR in the FACILITIES SUSTAINMENT DIVISION of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND HAWAII.

Duties

You will provide technical oversight and administrative direction in accomplishing the principal duties involving planning, work direction, and administration. You will coordinate work with supporting or related work functions controlled by other supervisors. You will determine the number and types of workers needed to accomplish projects. You will participate in initial planning of work schedules, budget requests, staffing needs, and other similar estimates. You will recommend solutions to staffing problems, engineering requirements, and work operations directed by other supervisors. You will investigate grievances and complaints; resolve them informally; and notify supervisor of important/serious ones.

  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
